Good premise, awful execution.
Insta-romance that made no sense; ultimately selfish & disloyal heroine who tried to act as anything but, and still made all the wrong decisions, endangering the people she claimed to care about and/or "love"; no real character depth. Tom and Laurel's POVs were practically identical.
Maybe I'm desensitized after having read so many horror, ZA, and dystopian books but... there was no sense of dread and/or fear for the characters at any time, and the "horror" of the situation was laughable at best.
