Excruciating. I haven't cried this hard in a while. God. I'm a mess right now, and as I had no tissues nearby (should've known better) and I just couldn't stop reading long enough to get up and grab some , my pillow case is now ruined. Wow. Just wow.


I'm gonna go ahead and say that, to me, this book touched me the most. It was just so bittersweet, heart-wrenching...and brutal.


Lucas and Sam dehtroned Liam and Ruby from best couple in the books. Just one hundred pages and I was more invested in them and their individual stories than I ever was in Ruby or Liam. Which just goes to show how amazing they are since Liam and Ruby are fantastic characters with awesome chemistry. But Lucas and Sam... they're something else. Their connection just... runs so much deeper.

I was already fond of Sam but this book made her my absolute baby.
I never felt as bad for Ruby as I did for Sam and I was VERY surprised by that considering everything Ruby went through. For some reason I feel Sam actually had it worse, all in all.

And Lucas... oh God, Lucas. He reminded me so much of Liam and at the same time he felt so unique. I was amazed at the way he coped and managed to fool everyone around him. I loved the fact that he is sensitive and caring, and yet so freaking strong he managed to fool his trainers and everyone around him. I need to get the last novella and just know what happened to him in the end.

I need some hope. Desperately.

Why, why, just... why.

This book ripped my heart out.
